Terms of service
1. Using FloorCheck
By installing or using FloorCheck you agree to these terms. If you use it for a business, you confirm you can accept them for that business. FloorCheck may be used by your plant's staff on any devices your plant controls.
2. Free and paid plans
- FloorCheck has a free plan and a paid plan, FloorCheck Pro. What each includes is shown in the app and may change over time.
- Pro is sold as a subscription through Google Play or Apple's App Store. The store bills you, renews the subscription automatically until you cancel, and handles cancellation and refunds under its own rules. Cancel any time in your store account; Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for.
- If a free trial is offered, the store charges at the end of the trial unless you cancel before then.
- If a price changes, the store tells you before it applies to your subscription.
- When Pro ends, nothing you recorded is deleted or locked: the free plan's limits apply to what you can add from then on.
3. Your information
What you record in FloorCheck belongs to you. It's stored on your devices; we don't have a copy, so we can't restore it if a device is lost. Keeping backups is your responsibility, and the app reminds you. Our privacy policy explains what can leave a device.
4. Compliance and accuracy
FloorCheck helps you run and record quality checks. It doesn't make your plant compliant with any law, standard or customer requirement, and it isn't a substitute for your own quality system, training or judgment. In particular:
- You decide which checks to run, their limits and what happens when they fail.
- Statistics such as control limits and capability are calculated with standard methods and tested against published reference data, but you remain responsible for decisions made with them.
- Net-contents results follow NIST Handbook 133 as an in-plant check. They aren't an official inspection.
- Scales and other instruments must be maintained, calibrated and, where the law requires, approved for their use by you. FloorCheck records what an instrument reports.
5. Hardware
FloorCheck works with many scales, adapters, scanners and devices, but not all of them. Use the setup tools to check your equipment before relying on it. We don't guarantee that any particular hardware will work.
6. Acceptable use
Don't reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the app; don't use it to break the law or anyone's rights; and don't interfere with how it works for others.
7. No warranty
FloorCheck is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
8. Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost product, recalls or lost data. Our total liability for any claim about FloorCheck is limited to the amount you paid for it in the 12 months before the claim.
9. Ending
You can stop using FloorCheck at any time by uninstalling it and cancelling any subscription. We may stop offering FloorCheck or any part of it; if we stop Pro, we'll do so in line with the store's rules for refunds.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. The effective date above shows the latest version, and continuing to use FloorCheck after a change means you accept it. For a significant change we'll give notice in the app.
